At first glance, users will note two distinct design differences in the iPhone 13 Pro models: a smaller notch and a larger camera hump. The available colors have changed slightly, but just slightly.

The notch is 20% smaller than on the iPhone 12 Pro, allowing for greater content viewing space on the front of the handset. Apple claims to have redesigned the True Depth camera technology for Face ID to accommodate the smaller notch.

The camera bulge on the device's back has always been a source of debate. It exists as a compromise between the device's thinness and the mechanics of photography. There must be some physical space between the camera sensor and the lens for a good camera to work.

While the camera on each iPhone generation has gotten significantly better over time, this is the biggest leap yet. Each of the three lenses has a larger diameter, a broader and taller "shelf," and taller stainless steel rings surrounding each lens. The camera hump on the iPhone 13 Pro takes up over half of the device's width and nearly a quarter of its height.
